Hey everyone! :) Today marks the start of a new cooking journal!
In this blog, I will share recipes and how I tweak them or what substitutes I use when I don't have what the recipe calls for. In the kitchen, I believe we always have what we really need, not always what we want, so why not make what we have/need what we want? This may not always be the case for everyone, so a grocery trip may be warranted, but there are situations where that's not an option.
This isn't necessarily a blog for cooking on a budget, although I do recommend Struggle Meals with Frankie Celenza if that's what you're looking for.
This blog is to track what I make at home for my partner and myself. We do not eat beef, and animal protein and salt has been causing health issues for us, so I try to substitute as much as possible without cutting ourselves short of any nutrition. I will also demonstrate how I use the tools I feature in our store.
